Glencoe House on Tripadvisor
What a find!!!
My wife and I stayed at Glencoe House in early July and had a quite fantastic stay!!
We booked Suite 5 which was incredible. Amazing views from every room and the twin baths were perfect.
Don’t be put off by the “in room dinner” – the experience and the quality of the food is spectacular. It made for a wonderfully romantic dinner.
The staff could not have been more accommodating, they even washed and dried our dirty clothes overnight.
All in all, we couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Do yourself a favor and visit.
Excellent- we will be back soon!
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights to celebrate his birthday and we had such a great time. We stayed in suite 2 which was absolutely amazing, really luxurious with super views and a hot tub. Meals were 5* and the whole experience was just beyond our expectations. We cannot wait to return. The staff were more than helpful and very friendly so a really big thank you to them all for making our trip so special. We will certainly be back and will look forward to our next visit to Glencoe house.
From the minute you arrive this is a wonderful experience. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly after a long drive up from a previous stop in the Lake District .
Susan was friendly and gave us a history lesson on the house, which we found very interesting. Then the suite! Wow,everything is first class from the decor and furnishings to the food and in room bar, couldn’t fault it.
The open fire was prepared ready to be lit but we left it until the morning whilst having probably one of the best breakfasts we have had.
The scenery is absolutely breath taking in every direction.
The second night Roger,a warm and interesting host. Recommended a restaurant in Glencoe itself, another super choice the food was great.
If you love the highlands and your after some luxury you won’t be disappointed with Glencoe house.
Wow!!! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left!! Absolutely fantastic!! Just could not fault this beautiful house! It really did feel as if you were going back in time…. so homely and welcoming! Thank you! Mum had a fantastic stay and thank you for the champagne on arrival and a bottle in our suite! Superb!!! We shall return!!
Absolutely the most incredible Hotel (using the word hotel loosely). Never had more space, more beautiful furnishings, stunning views and even a monstrous hot tub deck – perfect after hiking Ben Nevis. We stayed 3 nights in Suite 1 and would have happily spent the days in our suite and the lush grounds. Roger, the Guardian, was a class act even down to his white Irish Setter, Conner, who went walking with the guests. Never got a better night’s sleep. Excellent breakfast and dinners in our own dining room area. If you’re looking for the experience of a lifetime, plan now.
This was a special birthday present for me from my parents. Myself, husband and parents stayed in suite 4. The service is exceptional and you feel so looked after, yet at the same time you feel comfortable as it is unpretentious. The room is amazing with sweeping views of the mountains and loch and surrounding forests. The bath in the bedroom overlooking the mountain was a wonderful treat! Breakfast in your room made us feel like kings and queens, being looked after and served from our private dining room with great food! There wre some lovely walks surrounding the area, with ponds and pine forests a stones throw away. All of us came away refreshed and wishing we were staying more than one night!
“Very good concept. The suites are just perfect, big and comfortable. We very quickly felt like at home, turned on our fire in our fireplace, had a great in suite diner (this is the concept as you just stay in your suite/home), bath, help yourself with the real bar (not mini bar) in your suite, …”January 2015, Read More…
“I guess there is no better compliment than having stayed here last year we made sure we booked again when we returned to Scotland last week. Not only did we return but we booked two nights as last time, the moment we arrived, we were disappointed only to be staying one night. I can’t add much more to what everyone… ”January 2015, Read More…
“We stayed in Glencoe House for one night during a trip around the highlands, and we were absolutely blown away. First, the hotel is a former ancestral home built in the late 19th century, so the architecture is interesting and the entire space has been beautifully restored. Second, the grounds of the hotel are lovely and the views from our room were…”January 2015, Read More…

“Stunning views, with snow capped mountains, amazing hospitality and wonderful suite 5. Only bad thing was that we had only booked to stay one night. We did not want to leavened just wanted to snuggle into the comfiest bed ever complete with hot water bottle. . We were made to feel so welcome from the meeting in the car park to the fond farewell by our…”December 2014, Read More…

No detail has been left out. A well trained staff is there before you need ask. They are knowledgeable, experienced and so pleasant.
Glencoe House gives the feeling of your own luxurious home, not a hotel . I hope we will return soon!”
“We stayed in a suite for just one night but we are seriously considering moving in! It’s very hard to describe a stay at Glen Coe house, the closest we got to it was imagine you have some really rich friends who invite you up to stay for a few days, it just doesn’t feel like a hotel. The amazing surroundings and historic property do not prepare you for the free wi-fi, mobile phone in your room, 3D TV, amazing sound system, the well stock maxi bar (Roger certainly knows his wines)[…]
I can’t recommend this place enough and I was not surprised to find its so well rated here.”January 2014, Read More…
“This is my first ever review on here and my stay at Glencoe House prompted the effort – stayed here recently for 5 nights. Everything was fantastic; accommodation, food, attentiveness of hosts.
I have stayed at some great places all over the world and this ranks up there with them. Looking forward to the next visit.”November, 2013 Read More…
“I attended several meals and meetings at Glencoe House in May of 2013 as a part of my visit to my souvenir plot of land at the Highland Titles Nature Reserve a few miles away. The food and the service were superb and the staff was friendly and professional. I did not stay in one of the rooms, but from what I saw they looked very impressive. I hope to stay here on a future trip.”May 2013, Read More…
